THE CHAMPION BUILDER - JULY 16, 2008

Greetings to all Family, Friends and Partners,

What an interesting time it is that we live in. One only has to watch the news or go to the gas pump to see why so many people are concerned about their future. Some people have lost jobs and some have lost fortunes in the market, watching their retirement funds decline. If we continue to fix our eyes and ears on these events of the world, we will become discouraged.

However, the Bible tells God’s people something completely different.

For in Him (Jesus Christ) dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; 10 and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power. Col 2:9-10

Please note that the Apostle Paul declares that "You are complete in Him"!

The English word 'complete' comes from the Greek word 'pleeroo' which means to provide for by supplying a complete amount - 'to provide for completely, to supply fully.'

This means God has fully supplied everything we need in life, to make us complete. This is why Paul also writes in Phil 4:19-20,

And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. 20 Now to our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen. NKJV

As always, it is important for us to read all scripture in context. When we read Phil. 4 we understand that the Philippian Church was giving an offering to Paul in his time of need. In verse 14 Paul wrote, “you shared in my time of need.” Because they were planting seed into God’s work, God would continue to produce a harvest for them.

Paul’s reply was “My God shall supply”. Paul left no doubt about the outcome of what God would do. As we continue to sow we have the right to call upon God’s covenant promises to meet our every need. But we must remember that we cannot reap what we do not sow, for there is no harvest when there is no field planted.

My encouragement to you is this. Continue to give into God’s work and God will continue to meet your every need, above and beyond what you can think or imagine.

Let us remember, it is God who says, He looks over His word (His Promises) to perform it and it shall not return to Him void, but it shall prosper in the thing for which he sent it. Isa.55:8-13 Therefore, let us all stand firm in God’s promises. All His promises are Yes and Amen. Let us stand and see the power and love of our God as He meets our need!

Grace be with you all,

Dr. Rod and Maggie
